"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". This age old saying probably runs more true for the health care financing business than any other that comes to mind. The staff of PMR believes that keeping people in the best of health is the best method of lowering health care costs for the long term. The Wellness First program is designed to work directly with your labor force to identify any health or lifestyle problems that may exist that could potentially cause negative expectations within a health plan. PMR has several programs to choose from. They all function around a one on one periodic health screening of each participant as well as a detailed family history and lifestyle review. This is followed by a recommendation of care for anyone that it is determined needs disease management and proposed life style changes such as diet plans, exercise plans and smoking cessation plans. Precautions are discussed for those participants that may have family histories that indicate possible negative health implications. Discovering problem cases early generally saves a tremendous amount of money for any given health plan.
